1928-Present Federal Reserve Notes
(Green Seals and Serial Numbers)

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing began printing small-size (6 1/8” x 2 5/8”) Federal Reserve Notes in 1928. All of these notes have green seals and green serial numbers.

Below is a list of buying prices for federal reserve notes for the 1928 and 1934 series. In general, federal reserve notes of all denominations printed in later series have little or no value above their face value if printed in 1950 or later. IF YOU HAVE FEDERAL RESERVE NOTES THAT HAVE BEEN PRINTED FROM 1950 TO THE PRESENT DATE, WE MOST LIKELY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PURCHASE THEM FOR MORE THAN FACE VALUE UNLESS THEY ARE STAR NOTES, OR COME FROM A BETTER SERIES OR BLOCK. PLEASE SEND US AN EMAIL AND WE WILL ADVISE YOU IF WE CAN USE THEM.
